Magnificent Mogridge sets the mark at the Frostbite

James Mogridge claimed Yaxley’s first top ten finish in recent years with a brilliant run completing in 9th place. The team also finished a creditable 9th on the day with our top 7 finishers all in the first 90 to cross the line. Following Mogridge home were Mike Morley (also claimed his highest finish in 26th), Simon Perkins (equalled his best in 48th), Chris Ruthe (on debut), Simon Hunt, Mike Branston and Hugh Burton. For the ladies Ros Loutit led the way followed home by Claire Piercy and Sue Harlow.

The juniors had set the tone with a brilliant 5th place. Charlie Evans also claiming his best finish yet with a stunning 6th place. Now positioned sixth in the league table the juniors have a chance to close out the season (if they stay 6th or better) in their highest place since 1993 when they were 4th.

Magic Mike Morley stormed to his highest Frostbite finish of 31st place at Hinchingbrooke Park. Next home was the ever green Simon Perkins in 71st. Club captain, Hugh Burton showed some hints that a return to form is possible but still trailed his old rival but quite a margin in 107th.For the ladies Ros Loutit excelled in 166th, with the consistent Karen Ives in 192nd. For the final ladies slot it was club stalwart Claire Piercy who just edged out the improving Lorraine Howard. Continue reading
