It’s time for the Frostbite Series!

I am reaching out to all Yaxley Runners as your Club Captain to bring to your attention the up coming Frostbite series. We had a wonderful series last season with many highs and have high hopes of setting more club records in the competition.
Sunday 4th October is the first of six races in this season’s Frostbite series at Priory Park, St. Neots. Directions are available  http://www.frostbiteleague.org.uk/
The course is cross country. Trail or spikes shoes are recommended.
The Junior race starts at 10.15 and the Senior race starts 11.00
The Frostbite series is a team event entered by 16 local running clubs. You can enter as many paid up members as you like, so the more the merrier! The scoring system is based on the position that the first 10 members of the club finish, with at least 3 opposite sex. Normally this means that the first 7 men and 3 women to finish determine the score for our club. The lowest scoring team is the winner. Our members finishing outside our top ten still assist the team by finishing ahead of other clubs scoring members and so increasing the other clubs total. So for every member of another club you overtake the more our chances are improved.
The senior course is around 5 miles and the junior course around 1.5 miles.
Rules
You MUST wear a Yaxley Runners vest/t-shirt
You must NOT wear headphones
Entry is free to members as the club has paid the entry fee.
The race dates for your diary are as follows:-
4th October Priory Park, St. Neots
1st November Bushfield, Peterborough
13th December Hinchingbrook Park, Huntingdon
10th January Elm Road Sportsfield, March
7th February Bourne Woods
13th March Hinchingbrook School, Huntingdon
Last year the seniors finished 4th in the league table equalling our highest ever finish and this year we want to go at least one place better!
It would be great if we could get as many club members as possible running. If you want to run but need help with transport let me know and I will try to get something arranged
Hope to see you there
